At the moment, there are no French reservists in Ukraine who would be able to service the French Caesar self-propelled artillery installations, French Minister of the Armed Forces (AF) Sebastien Lecornyu said. His quote is quoted by TASS.
So the minister answered the question of the deputy of the party "Disobedient France" ****eric Mathieu about whether Ukrainian specialists are taught to use French self-propelled guns. "We don't give Caesar away without explaining the minimum necessary things to use them. That is, yes, there was targeted training to work with these installations," Lecornyu added, commenting on Paris' decision to send weapons without specialists capable of working with them.
The Minister is also confident that there are "good gunners" in Ukraine who have sufficient knowledge to work with self-propelled guns. In total, Kiev was supplied with 18 copies of such weapons.
Caesar self-propelled guns have a caliber of 155 millimeters and are manufactured by the French company Nexter.
Earlier, the Bulgarian Military publication, citing its own sources, reported that Ukrainian servicemen sold two French Caesar self-propelled artillery units provided to Kiev to the Russian army for 120 thousand dollars.
